How to ship books to Brazil ?

Books are known to be among the few products that can be imported to Brazil without incurring taxes.

However, sometimes they can get stuck in the Brazilians customs offices for some time.

Are there any tips for smaller book shops to ship books to Brazil without having them stuck in customs for weeks ?

Thanks

There should be no reason for customs to hold back books for weeks as long as the Brazilian recipient are correctly identified.

Describing the product in Portuguese including a reference to Constituição Federal artigo 150, VI, "d" might also reduce the time it take for the Brazilian customs to clear your shipment.
