We have received several inquiries regarding bonded warehouse operators in Brazil. Having this in mind, we have decided to list six operators in the major Brazilian ports.

What is a bonded warehouse?

Bonded warehouse (Entreposto Aduaneiro in Portuguese) is a regime in which importers and exporters are allowed to store goods. Besides being stored, these goods can be manipulated and even undergo manufacturing operations without the payment of taxes.

As it enables tax exemption, the redirection of goods to other countries and the possibility of operations bound along with other special customs regimes (such as Drawback, Recof, DAC and so on), the warehouse becomes a fundamental logistic tool for the management of stock, cash flow and market strategies.

Even though the Northeast of Brazil has got important ports such as Porto de Salvador and Porto de Maceió, we were unable to find a relevant warehouse operator in this area.
