How are Brazilian taxes displayed on a non-electronic invoice?

If electronic Nota Fiscal is not always used, then there are invoices generated manually? What details do/must an invoice contain? Specifically how are the taxes shown? At invoice line or total invoice level?

Emma,

Assuming that you are referring to what we call Nota Fiscal in Portuguese, it is the same thing as electronic nota fiscal, only printed. So it must contain the same information provided on the electronic version.

There is a specific field for taxation, named "Cálculo do Imposto". You can see what a printed nota fiscal looks like by clicking here
