Having an area of over 1,523 square kilometres, you should expect to bump into thousands of options when you are hunting for an office in São Paulo.

There are however a few locations that are particularly popular and once in the market for rent, these offices disappear like hot cakes. Here is a list of the 3 most attractive regions:

1. Avenida Paulista

Avenida Paulista is certainly the most prestigious location to have an office in São Paulo. The 3km long avenue surrounded by skyscrapers is not only a postcard of the city, but also the financial centre of Latin America. If you cannot find any suitable office at Avenida Paulista, try to expand your search area to cross- and parallel streets such as Alameda Santos, Rua Pamplona and Avenida Brigadeiro Luis Antonio.

Offices in this area are often very pricey - about BRL 2.000 to 3.000 for a 50 m2 office - but you may find some bargains in a bit more shabby buildings. The traffic is quite heavy during peak hours, so if you would like to avoid sitting in the queue for long, you can take the Green subway line (Metro) that runs across the whole avenue.

2. Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima

Brigadeiro Faria Lima, popular known as Faria Lima is a heavy weight competitor to take Paulista Avenue’s financial centre position. Among the massive office buildings that house large corporations you can find renowned restaurants and night clubs, as well as luxurious hotels.

Prices may be a little lower in comparison to rent prices in Paulista Avenue, and you have a bigger chance of finding more contemporary architecture. As the subway is going to be expanded to the area, the renting prices may raise even more in the upcoming years.

3. Itaim Bibi Financial District

A few decades ago Itaim Bibi was considered to be a lower class district but now it has turned to a noble and vibrant area, with a Human Development Index as high as 0,953.

Several technology related multinationals have chosen to set up their offices in this district, mainly along Avenida Engenheiro Luís Carlos Berrini.

Rent prices is about BRL 1.500 for a small office (40m2)
