To modernize and de-bureaucratize the Brazilian documents registered at notary offices, the Autoridade Certificadora Brasileira de Registros was created, a digital system of certification that aims to turn all documents into a digital format.

The Autoridade Certificadora Brasileira de Registros – also known as AC BR – is a Brazilian Certifying Authority (AC) responsible for transferring documents and information registered it Notary Offices of Brazil to a digital system. AC BR aims to head the de-bureaucratization and modernization of the legal documentation processes in the country.

Accreditation for the Federal Revenue Digital System

To guarantee the legal validity of the documents in electronic system, the AC BR has accredited the ICP-Brazil, which is the responsible Certifying Authority for the transference of documents and information registered in the Federal Revenue Service. ICP-Brazil is also known as Infraestrutura de Chaves Públicas Brasileira, the Public Key Infrastructure. The partnership permits that BR AC works as an issuer entity of e-CPF and e-CNPJ, valid throughout the national territory.

Digital Certificate

ICP-Brazil allows the issuance of digital certificates, that act as a virtual identification card, which allows reliable identification of a message or transaction performed on computer networks. The digital certification process uses mathematical and logical procedures to ensure confidentiality, integrity of information and confirmation of authorship.

Documents Issued by AC BR

With this, it's possible to perform operations that require digital signatures and time stamps of electronic documents and verifies digitally signed documents by a simple, fast and secure way.

e-CNPJ

e-CNPJ is the document indicated for companies that must perform electronic transactions. With e-CNPJ it is possible to sign electronic documents with legal validity, make authentications on web pages, access Federal Revenue services and services from Caixa. It's available in types A3 or A1 both for the amount of 470.00 BRL and validity for 3 years.

e-CPF

e-CPF is the document used citizen's identification in electronic transactions. With e-CPF it is possible to sign electronic documents with legal validity, do authentications on web pages, perform services with the Federal Revenue Service and services from Caixa.

e-CPF simples and e-CNPJ simples

The e-CNPJ simples and e-CPF simples have, respectively, the same characteristics than e-CNPJ and e-CPF, but they were specially developed for the owners of micro business (ME) and small business (EPP) who wish to perform electronic transactions.

NF-e and CT-e

The NF-e is designated for the issuance of electronic billing receipts, while the CT-e is the digital certificate for the electronic cargo recognition, this document must be presented by airway, highway, waterway and railway transportation.
