Contribution to the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development
In Portuguese Contribution to the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development is named Contribuição ao Fundo Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico and often referred to by the abbreviation FNDCT.
FNDCT is a tax that support the Programa de Estímulo à Interação Universidade-Empresa para o Apoio à Inovação. The program main objective is to stimulate Brazilian technological development.
The legal entity holder or purchaser of technological knowledge, as well as, the one that signed agreements of technology transfer with residents or residents living abroad, must pay FNDCT.The contribution focus on the amounts paid, credited, delivered, used or remitted every month, for residents or residents living abroad and it's charged at a rate of 10%.
