I want to know the duty on African art to Brazil for a 20 footer container?

According to cultural organization SESCSP original artwork that are imported to Brazil is subject to:

• 7% import duty
• 7% other taxes
• 18% ICMS (São Paulo)

As ICMS are calculated over the cost price including all other taxes, the approximate tax burden will be in the range of 30 - 50%.

There might be special trading agreements for cultural exchange with African countries like Mozambique and Angola.
